developing research aptitude, computer skill, extension activities and library

the Department of Malayalam served as the Chief editor. The magazine
consisted of poems, stories , drawings and book reviews by students .

Literary
club organized a documentary festival
in association with college library from November 15 to 23 , 2018 at
college library . The documentaries On Rohingyas ( 15 Nov ), On mis(s) representation
(22 Nov ), On post truth (23Nov) and on Stray Dogs were screened. Discussions
were conducted on the documentaries. More than fifty students participated on
each day .

and submitted their reviews to the library .

club in association with college library organized a literary quiz
and essay writing competition on the occasion of the reading week celebration.
In the Literary quiz on June 20 ,2018 Yedhu. S, Robin J. Raju from II
Botany won first prize and Shijin Varghese and Abhilash won the
second prize. In Essay competition on the
subject “Reading and Modernity ‘’ on June 20th 2018 Shyama
Sasidharan (S2 Zoology ), Manasi .S (S 4 Chemistry ) won the first and second
prizes .
2. Vayana Pakshacharanam
& Seminar
Literary
club in association with college library organized Vayana pakshacharanam & Seminar on “my book and my reading” on
2018 July 4th Wednesday 10.30 am at college seminar hall .
Dr.Achamma George Principal inaugurated the meeting Sri.Liju T. Varghese
convener, library advisory committee presided over the meeting, Fr.Thampi
Varghese, Guest faulty, Department of History felicitated in the meeting and
Sri Binu G delivered vote of thanks. After the inaugural meeting Vidya T.G,
Aneesa Mariam , Ponnu.S Noufal .S presented papers on the reviews of
book and Baiju Joy Librarian handled a session on the methodology of reading
.The meeting concluded at 1 PM. 46 students participated. The pogramme organized
in accordance with go.2/126/2018 State Higher education council.

1. Online Catalogue:
Students and Staff can access library catalogues from in and outside campus. The
project was developed by Librarian with the technical help of Sri.Arun Kishore,
Librarian(UGC) SD College, Alapuzha. The
project completed on 11.10.19.
2. Data migration
to Open Source Software named Koha. Bibliographical data migrated from
commercial library software to Open source software named KOHA. The software
developed in Newz land and now it is using all over world including majority
university libraries in india
